Cloud Picker Coffee holds the distinction of being Dublin City's first micro coffee roastery, operating out of a roastery-dispensary in the Crumlin neighborhood of Dublin. The founding date and founder names are not publicly documented, but the roaster has built a recognizable identity around small-batch, to-order roasting and a stated commitment to waste-neutral operations. A Giesen roaster sits at the center of the production setup — a German-engineered drum roaster favored by specialty producers who prioritize batch consistency and repeatability.

From its Crumlin base, Cloud Picker has expanded to three public-facing locations: the roastery itself (which doubles as a retail dispensary), a café on Pearse Street in Dublin's city center, and an outlet at Dublin Airport. The airport presence is unusual for an independent specialty roaster — an indicator of both brand recognition and a willingness to meet customers where they travel rather than waiting for them to seek out a destination café. The small-team structure remains part of the self-description, with an emphasis on keeping sourcing deliberate and operations lean.

Cloud Picker's current offering centers on single-origin filter coffees and direct-ship subscriptions. A recent lot — an Ethiopian natural from producer Kebede Wako, described with notes of cherry crumble, vanilla, and lemon balm — reflects the roaster's orientation toward fruit-forward naturals and named-producer sourcing. Coffees are roasted to order, a practice that prioritizes freshness over inventory efficiency and requires reliable demand forecasting at even a small scale.
